Pretty Woman

Classic movie. Great tracks.

Drops of thought on my mind.

"To be capable of steady friendship or lasting love, are the two greatest proofs, not only of goodness of heart, but of strength of mind."

I think so too. I hope I'm right.

The G(r)eeks in Us

She was sitting and watching the cricket match in the living room.30 prospective students march in to check out our apartment. Instead, they landed up checking out Miss PT's head. Miss PT was left wondering why.

Coz of the Greek ring of green leaves on her head due to yours truly :). Well, Greek, coz our party yesterday was Greek theme-based.

L to R - Bottom: Gaurav, Harsh, Abhishek, Jasvir
L to R - Top : Anipa, Me!

Moving on to more embarrassments.

It was the day before Poseidon, our B-school fest.

J & I walked into Hyderabad Central to buy C's unmentionables. And while I was standing right there in front of the unmentionables (coz of my knack of finding the right size within seconds), S's hubby decides to pass by. Oh My Gawwwd! An embarrassed giggle was about all I could muster at the time! C is yet to collect his "stuff" and this next meeting with him will definitely be kick-ass. Coz I'll be the one kicking his a**.

That's me doing the talkin for the Octavia, our music competition.
The guys (with the long hair) are the winners - a death metal band called After Death :)

Just finished an assignment.

Nitie nite :)

Arabian Bhangra and Controversy

For the ISBians :
We Didn't Start the Fire!?!

For the non-ISBians :
Girl Power!

It was a pretty happening night.
Solstice, our alum fest. And the whole weekend was one big party.

Friday's Theme - Arabian Nights.

Saturday - Bhangra (K)Nights concert. I wasn't too happy with them. DJ Chin and DJ Lucky who played after Bhangra Nights were much better.

Well, the weekend is gone and things are back to normal.

V and J were having a very interesting conversation on the dinner table.
Mumbai, Calcutta and hookers. I couldn't contribute that much due to lack of experience/knowledge on how to identify hookers in the first place.

Miss PT is back from the wedding and she's getting ready to hit her books. Poor baby!

Meanwhile, the cable TV is still down and I'm very, very upset. My studies have come to a standstill. How am I supposed to concentrate without noise and music from VH1 blasting in my living room?
Hmmmph, 3 days and I'm still missing the movies on HBO.

On other fronts....
Talked to S, as usual.
Feels nice, as usual.

Awright. Gotta go, baby. C ya!!!

But(t)'s The Word

1.45 am and Norah Jones is giving me company.

And while I love the peace, it never quite lasts that long in ISB.

Today was a killer. Enough work in metrics to last me till next week Thursday. Aaaaah, the insignificant tragedies of a lazy student.

Meanwhile, A has decided to turn me into a biker babe. The transition should occur sometime this weekend. He's the cutest. We have fun together, A & I.

J bought superglue today. Reminds me of the dude in American Pie. Wonder what J's plan is for the superglue. Heeeeee!

P, one of my favorite dudettes from college mailed me today. Took me back to the days when she & I used to hang out. Her incessant comments about boys' backsides eventually became the highlight of my college days. These days in ISB, its my quadie who's doing the same. Which one? Naaaaaaaaaah! No can do!

Oooooooooooooooh I love being a brat!

Okie dokie, time to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Going..going...gone!

Sweet Sensations & Whistling Worries

Sweet sensations today.

Saw the sunset from my room. The orange-red sky.
Saw the birds flying back home after a hard day's work.
Saw an awesome movie and wished life was like that.
Saw papa frog, mama frog and 2 baby frogs.
Saw glow-worms moving around at night (C made me think they were shooting stars :) DUH!)

Simple yet "wunnerful" things!

ISB has an abundance of wildlife. There are wild animals and then there are wild (party) animals. Taking a wildlife safari is a must.

Miss PT aka Kajol of KKHH won her volleyball match today. She's very excited. Kudos to the brave little Miss PT. Her size belies her energy!!! Now if only she used all that energy to find that suitable boy for herself and we, her quadies, will handle the rest!

Meanwhile, I am very disappointed with myself. I still don't know how to whistle. Maybe I'm a late bloomer. Will someone out there teach me? After all, you never know when I might fancy some bloke whom I might want to whistle at. Aaaaaaaaaaah. I'm pretty close to giving up hope of ever learning how to whistle.

Awaiting the awakening of my whistling talent.... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

Of Snorers and Viagra

Term 6 and we're back.

As usual, I was out during the term hols. Delhi and Bangalore for 2 days each was time well spent.

Went out for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire with Bro and G. The movie, initially atleast, seemed decent. The tension was mounting. Would Harry Potter be able to face the challenges thrown during the competition? Suddenly, I heard a snore. Right next to me. I turned right. My bro was awake. I turned left and there was G, snoring to his heart's content. I giggled. Unfortunately, the snoring stopped and G opened his eyes and shifted positions. Pah! Wish he had snored longer for other people to realize :).

Back in Hyderabad, there were other things brewing. One cute professor and an exciting Marketing Metrics professor. And what did I learn?

Viagra.

Things I didn't know in detail. Me thinks I got to know a tad too much. Number of hours it works, what to do while taking the pill and what not to, when you should and when you shouldn't. Hmmmm. Enough said. I bet the boys in my class paid more attention.

I'm sleepy and I'm reminded of Eric Clapton.

It's late in the evening
She's wondering what clothes to wear
She takes off her makeup (duh! Hardly wear any :( )
And brushes her long long hair (not blonde)
And then she asks me
Don't you think its time
And I say, yes, it's time to say good night!

Silly poem. Even sillier me.
I'm hoping Clapton doesn't get to read this. Ever.

G nite folks!
